The small ‘made in‘ sign bears witness to a global journey, connecting times and places, linking us to the origin of what is perceive as ‘modern world’.

Reflecting on the global journeys of textiles and the embeddedness of the rise of the so-called modern world through what historian Samuel Beckett calls the cotton empire, this on-site installation and presentation took place at the symposium ‚on dizziness‘ in Vienna, in May 2022.
